THE PROBLEM NO ONE TALKS ABOUT

Your customer list is your most valuable asset. You're not using it.

No one calls to say goodbye. They just stop showing up. By the time you notice the slow-down, it's already been months. And getting someone back is a lot harder than keeping them in the first place.

You've been replacing your best customers with new ones just to stay even. That's not growth. That's a treadmill. And new customers only go so far.

40M

Domino's has 40 million people in their rewards program. And most of them still get the exact same 20% off coupon. Even a giant company hasn't built the system that treats customers differently based on how they act.You can have it for $56.Losing one customer costs you more than this guide

Hey! We've been waiting to see you again. Here's a 20% off coupon. We hope you come back...
No thanks 👎

Why i wrote this

I didn't start with a playbook. I started with a spreadsheet.

For 3 years, I studied my own customers at my own business. Just me. I got really good at it. I knew exactly what every number meant, in my own head. Then I tried to turn it into something other people could use.
I wrote out my whole method, thinking it was crystal clear. I had to rewrite it like 5 times just to make it make sense.
That process taught me more than the 3 years of research did.

Your best customers went quiet. And you never even knew.

A few things I re-learned:

Averages lie

A steady 10-day customer who suddenly stops is a warning sign. A customer who was already irregular isn't. The gap means nothing.

Replies beat clicks

I used to watch open rates. Now I watch who replies. A reply means real trust. It tells me more than any other number I track.

Opt-outs are a good sign

A clean list means the people who stay actually want to be there. A list where nobody ever leaves is usually a list nobody's reading.

What makes this different

Every customer has their a personal pattern. Most tools ignore that.

Most texting tools use one rule for everybody: "message anyone who hasn't visited in 30 days." That sounds smart. It's not.

A customer who visits every 8 days is already in trouble by day 20but the 30-day rule says nothing's wrong.

A customer who visits every 30 days is right on schedule at day 30but the same rule flags them as "gone."

We call this the Personal Variance Index, PVI for short. It doesn't track when someone last visited. It tracks whether that's normal, for them. That's the whole method.

8 days
14 days
A flat 30-day rule would flag one of these and miss the other, no matter what the sliders say.

The key insight: Right now, you're treating Judy and Chuck the same. You're not really reaching either of them. REVISIT shows you how to tell the difference, for every single person on your list. The alert you get means something.

A few things I re-learned:
Averages lie.
"How often does a customer visit, on average" isn't the number that matters. What matters is how steady that pattern is — for each person. A customer who always comes back every 10 days, then suddenly stops? Big warning sign. A customer who was already irregular? A gap means nothing.
Replies matter more than clicks.
I used to watch open rates. Now I watch who replies. A reply means real trust. It tells me more than any other number I track.
Opt-outs are actually a good sign.
I used to hate seeing people leave my list. Now I get it. A clean list means the people who stay actually want to be there. A list where nobody ever leaves is usually a list nobody's reading.

Chuck
Visits every 30 days · Last visit: 36 days ago
· Normal — no action needed Chuck is 6 days past his last visit — same calendar distance as Judy. But for Chuck, this is completely normal. Sending him a win-back offer today would be noise. The system already knows the difference.
